Postgraduates flock to Teach for America to offer service in urban areas

Chances of landing a spot less than 15%

By Megan Greenwell Washington Post / December 7, 2008

WASHINGTON - Like many Georgetown University seniors, Olubukola Bamigboye has no shortage of postgraduate options. She has a line on an internship with a high-profile fashion magazine, is considering law school, or might train full time for a spot on the 2012 US Olympic track and field team.

Day #30.1

It seems like I will be leaving the Big City soon for a few days of mending and relaxation in the Minne-Sota. Get ready!

Day #30

Cashing in airline vouchers is harder than it needs to be.

God Fucking Damn it

Ray Ban is fucking re-launching the clubmaster with a "massive" marketing campaign.
Fucking A, now everybody on earth will have a pair, probably in some stupid kanye west color.

I hate being such a brilliant trendsetter. I search for cool stuff that I think would be unique (and above trendiness) and a year or two later it pops up in fucking J.Crew.

so now if I continue to wear my clubmasters I'll look trendy for a few months followed by two years of looking like a lame-o who's hanging on to something passe because he's clueless.

Day #29.2

Things that lessen heart-ache: good friends getting some of the happiness they so richly deserve.

Day #29

More heart ache.

Day #28

Heart ache.

Day #27.2

Major accomplishment of the day: buying the ingredients so my roommate could make cookies.

Fun fact: In the Big City they don't organize grocery store aisles by the type of food, but rather by country. Or at least they do in my hood.

as a child my sister...

looked a lot like
Suri Cruise.

Day #27

Today it is good to be home. I might go watch a movie with a vague group of friends, or I might try and accomplish things I need to. Mysterious.

Day #26

Today I flew home (home? is this home already?) It took forever, due to delays and being voluntarily bumped, but it's nice to be here again, in this place.

It's even nicer to be bumped. Lots of time to finish my book, plus free money. It basically covered the cost of my trip. Thanks, American Airlines.
